Should waitresses be required to wear “skimpy” uniforms?
In late 2015, employment lawyer Barbara Green represented Tierney Angus, a former employee of the Bier Markt in Toronto, who quit after she was required to wear a revealing waitress uniform. In this episode, Paul and Jordan talk to Barbara about how she teamed up with Tierney as part of a human rights effort to pressure the Bier Markt to eliminate the controversial uniform, as well as discuss the questionable ethics of waitresses having to appear “sexy” to promote restaurant business.
